EN-ECO-SCHOOLS
The Eco-schools project, originally called Eco-Schools, is implemented in approximately 7000 schools from 23 European countries and South Africa. International Environmental Education Foundation coordinates the project. The program covers a holistic school activity for the environment. At the end of the program, deserving schools are awarded with ‘Green Flag.. Objectives; is to perform environmental activities both in the school and in the neighborhood where the school is located. The implementation of the project provides students with habits that they will use throughout their lives and affect their success as well as the environment. Students Get used to group work and form a participatory structure. A member of a group and develops a new identity. Develops the ability to recognize problems, produce solutions and discuss. The ability to use initiative and decision making develops. Improves the ability of making plans and writing reports. Consumption habits change, extravagance is prevented. Awareness of protecting natural resources develops. Our eco-school project that we have been working for two years is “Healthy Life”. For two years, many activities have been carried out in order to raise awareness of our students and the school environment on healthy living and balanced nutrition. The subject of -20 HEALTHY LIFE 2012 in 2012-2014 has been working in our school for 2 years.
